La Grande Vigie:

      The  Pointe de la Grande Vigie  is the northernmost place

    of the  Grande-Terre , in  Guadeloupe , about six kilometers          d ' Anse-Bertrand , municipality to which it is attached.

​

      Its limestone cliffs reach 80 meters in height and               recall those of  Normandy  or from  Brittany .

       Exposed to the wind and spray, the vegetation is there               poor,  xerophilic , reminiscent of that of the  Mediterranean .

​

        On a clear day, the panorama is superb  on the islands

      of  Montserrat  80 km northwest  from Antigua  North

          70 km away and  The Désirade  to the south-east 50 km.
